We are looking for a Power BI / Power Apps Engineer to join an existing enterprise Data Warehouse support programme for a large, global energy company operating in the renewable and low-carbon energy sector.
The role is focused on delivery, optimisation, and operational stability of reporting and low-code solutions within an established enterprise data ecosystem.
Our client is a global energy company focused on renewable power generation and low-carbon energy solutions. Operating across multiple regions, the company develops, builds, and operates large-scale energy assets, including wind, solar, and hybrid power projects. The company works in a highly regulated environment, where data accuracy, traceability, and reliability are essential.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
- Build and support Power Apps solutions within the agreed functional scope.
- Investigate and resolve reporting and application incidents under SLA.
- Perform impact analysis and technical validation for requested changes.
- Optimise report performance, usability, and visual consistency.
- Apply agreed design and development standards.
- Produce required artefacts and maintain documentation.
- Build wireframes and collaborate with stakeholders on the reporting structure.
- Conduct unit testing and validation before release.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers to ensure data suitability and reliability.
- Deliver approved service requests and enhancements in line with Agile methodology.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in BI / reporting roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI: report and dashboard development, semantic models/datasets, performance optimisation, data modelling within Power BI.
- Experience with Power Apps.
- Experience working in BAU or support environments with SLAs.
- Solid understanding of data flows and collaboration with Data Engineering teams.
- Experience resolving reporting and application incidents.
- Ability to optimise performance, usability, and consistency.
- Experience with unit testing and validation of reports/apps.
- Experience in effort estimation and delivery planning.
- Strong UI/UX awareness within Power BI and Power Apps.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for business trips to the UK.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Excellent proficiency in both verbal and written English communication skills.
