We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join an infrastructure team that is working with a solution for a solution for art galleries across many companies and dealers for a short-term, full-time engagement.
Project: A tailored ERP solution designed for art galleries and dealers, supporting comprehensive functions such as art logistics, inventory management, sales tracking, and client relationship management.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the existing DevOps team to manage infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the security and reliability of the product.
- Engage in diverse and dynamic tasks across various technologies and domains.
- Extend ownership and oversight over previously unmanaged or partially managed systems.
- Manage infrastructure deployment and configuration using Terraform.
- Develop and maintain reliable, scalable CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, and implement effective monitoring and alerting systems to enhance operational visibility and readiness.
- Work across multiple cloud environments — including AWS, GCP, Databricks, and Alibaba Cloud — partnering with internal stakeholders to identify and address gaps.
- Ensure smooth developer workflows and reduces friction between development and operations.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of commercial experience in DevOps engineering.
- Proven practical experience with Terraform, including importing and managing existing infrastructure.
- Solid working knowledge of AWS and its core services (such., EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, etc.).
- Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions.
- Enthusiastic about working in dynamic environments and capable of bringing structure to complex situations.
- Extensive experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms (e.g., AWS ECS Fargate, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with modern monitoring and alerting tools such as Datadog and CloudWatch.
- Ability to quickly understand and adapt to new cloud environments, including GCP, Databricks, and Alibaba Cloud.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance considerations; relevant training or certifications are advantageous.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within distributed teams.
- Proficiency in both verbal and written English communication.
